NFL Week 2 recap

Since I am a homer I will talk my Buffalo Bills first. It was great to win after pissing away a win at New England, up by 11 with three minutes to go and a chance to beat the pats for the first time in six years, oh well. I was very happy and excited as the Bills jumped out 14-0 early in the first quarter but then towards the end with the opportunity to start the blow-out the Bills took their foot off the Bucs throats and settled for a field go. From there the Bills tried to give the game back to the Bucs, especiailly when T.O. reverted back to Butterfingers on a gimme deep ball that he could have taken to the house. However, in the fourth quarter Trent found T.O. with a beautiful deep ball that put the game out of reach as T.O. got his first touchdown as a Bill.
As happy as I was with the win I am disturbed because the Bucs committed so many stupid penalties that helped the Bills, on one Bills drive in the second quarter they had 45 yards worth of penalties and we had to settle for three points.
The Bills defense will get their biggest test yet this Sunday when the Drew "touchdown machine" Brees and the Saints come to Buffalo. I think our speed at corner with McGee, McKelvin and Corner match up well with their receivers, but over the first two games the Bill have shown a complete inability to defend a tight-end deep down the middle. This will be a problem because the Saints have one of the best in Shockey. Hopefully our corners can handle man-to-man so the safeties can give the linebackers more help with the tight-ends. As always I will root for my team with passion and I will yell, cuss, jump up and down and of course, I will do my push-ups and sit-ups during the game.

As far as the NFL goes no team has really taken control this season and shown power. The Ravens are 2-0 but to let KC stay in the game at HOME on opening day with a backup QB is inexcuseable for a team with the title of best in the league. The Giants hae been getting lucky and no one else stands out. The Colts struggled with a bad Jaguars team, even though their win at Miami was impressive and anytime you have Peyton Manning you have a chance. I will say this though, the Rams are the worst team in the NFL. They need to stick the ball in Jackson's belly 30-40 times a game and ride him to wins. However, I don't think they can even do that so St. Louis you better start thinking about whether you want Colt McCoy or Sam Bradford. The other thing is the Broncos, people are like, "oh Josh McDaniel is good" they haven't beaten anyone. The Bengals are average at best and the Browns suck, Mangini could be the worst coach in the league. The only thing that makes the Browns better than Rams is that they have QB's who can play in the NFL. Having said this the Bills will probably cough one up to the Browns as usual. Lastly, what the hell are the Raiders thinking? JaMarcus Russell is terrible, he has only completed ~30% of his passes, I mean I called it when he came out of LSU, he is totally overrated, he has a canon but he is terrible. How long can you leave him in their, I don't know.

We'll see what happens this week, as always it will be a fun NFL Sunday.
