The Draft

Last night was the first round of the NFL draft, and as usual it did not disappoint. I was real intent until the Bills pick, then I had a conference call with the team and I had to build my new grill. Really quick observations about the draft: Rams drafted Bradford out of peer pressure, Suh is the best player in the class, and the Raiders... Are still the raiders.
For my Buffalo Bills the C.J. Spiller pick was odd. We desperately need a tackle, and thanks to the aforementioned Raiders there was one left. I think Spiller will be a great weapon, but unless we are running the wishbone with Spiller, Lynch and Freddie at QB I don't know how it helps. I do think it signals the end of Lynch's career as a Bill.
Now my conspiracy theory for my beloved Bills is coming to fruition. After I saw that we can probably win four games at best and then with the "dream team" picking Spiller I knew the cogs were in motion. The Bills got a guy who is exciting but we are going to be terrible and get the first pick in 2011. Now we all know that when the league gets a new CBA there is going to be a rookie salary cap. Thus, the Bills will draft their franchise QB and not have to pay him $60M. Thus we will build a franchise with a number one QB and CJ and Freddie.
Just watch, it's going to happen.
